Before your travel to Kenya, we want to ensure you are well prepared for the thrilling experiences you are about to encounter. To each of these ends, KTB will require all FAM Trip Agents to study the Kenya Authorized Travel Specialist (KATS) coursework and pass the exam to become a Certified KATS prior to FAM departure.  If you are already a certified KATS agent, you are on your way!

The Benefits...   For new agents to the KATS program, in addition to the trip preparation the KATS certification will provide, you will also earn Continuing Education Units (CEU's), both for achieving your KATS status, and for achieving MASTER KATS status, which will be automatically awarded to all FAM participants upon return from Kenya based on your successful week of destination emersion. In addition, profiles of all MASTER KATS are featured in the Agent Locator database that is featured on MagicalKenya.com and KenyaAgent.com so consumers and travel colleagues can easily locate their local Kenya expert... YOU!

CEU's are awarded as follows:

The Travel Institute (for U.S. Agents)
3 CEU's for KATS Certification
7 CEU's for MASTER KATS Certification

Canadian Institute of Travel Counsellors (for Canadian Agents)
6 CEU's for KATS Certification
9 CEU's for MASTER KATS Certification
